The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Occupational Health & Safety Specialist (Ergonomist) based out of Everett, Washington.    

The Workplace Safety division of the Environment Health & Safety (EHS) team is looking for an experienced ergonomist to provide support to Everett site production programs and tenants.  This position is expected to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify mitigations to existing and future ergonomics risks in the production and office environments.  As part of the EHS team you will support health and safety initiatives, projects and compliance in the field of ergonomics and human factors and provide guidance and cultural influence through the site and airplane program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports the planning, implementation and assessment of occupational health and safety programs and processes.
  • Drafts health and safety programs that provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliance.
  • Investigates safety and health incidents and complaints.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 

  • Bachelor degree or higher
  • Experience Occupational Health and Safety or ergonomics/human factors 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 

  • Experience with ergonomic risk assessment tools
  • Certified Professional Ergonomics (CPE)

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year’s related work experience, etc.).
