Relevance to ASSE members: With national injury rates flattening and the recognition that additional layers of safety regulations have created only marginal gains, safety professionals can now equip themselves with an understanding of human factors – how our brains work, how we make decisions and errors, and how to build trust and cooperation.

About Speaker: Cheri Zehner, MPH, has 30 years of experience as an occupational safety consultant, industrial hygienist, and environmental health specialist. She has worked for local government, environmental consulting firms, and insurance companies. She was recently the safety consultant for a workers’ comp Retro Group with over 2000 AWB businesses. She has a Master’s in Public Health and a BS in Environmental Health from the University of Washington.
