To close out the 2024-2025 chapter year, we met at Fogo de Chao in Bellevue for a great dinner. About 20 members attended and we awarded the outgoing committee members for their dedication and service to the Puget Sound Chapter.
Highlights:
1. All executive board members received certificates for their role and contributions to the Chapter.
2. Chip McKenna received Most Valuable Member of the Year award for his 19 years of dedicated Service to ASSP. Chip is a past president and has served as our treasurer the past two years. During his 19 years with the chapter, Chip has served in many leadership positions and guided the chapter through some tough periods where participation and leadership were lacking.
3. Sondra Lavoie received the New Member of the Year award for her “yes and…” attitude, serving as our chapter secretary, reinvigorating our WISE section, and initiating the formation of a BISE section. Sondra also won the SPY award at the society level for her leadership with WISE.
4. Ted Davis and Steve Conkle both received Emeritus Member awards for serving over 50 years as a dedicated ASSP member for Puget Sound and other chapters. They both served many executive positions on our Puget Sound chapter board including the role of president.
