Mt. Baker Section Meeting – February 2026

Our February meeting will be held in-person at Jalapenos Restaurant in Barkley square (Bellingham, WA) on Wednesday, February 18 . We will order dinner at 5:30pm and our speaker will begin at around 6pm.

Speaker(s):           Alex Bokser (DOSH) & Michael Niccum (DOSH)

Presenting:           Claims Management Strategies, and Industrial Hygiene

Alex Bokser will be presenting on claims management strategies. Alex is a Risk Manager with DOSH Consultation, where he has worked since 2022. Before joining DOSH, he lived in Israel and served as the Vice Director of a history museum. He holds an M.A. in History and serves as a Military Police Officer in the Israel Defense Forces. Alex is fluent in English, Hebrew, and Russian.

Michael Niccum will be leading a discussion on industrial hygiene. He has been an Industrial Hygienist with DOSH Consultation since 2021 and enjoys helping employers better understand workplace exposures using statistical modeling tools. Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in geology from Western Washington University. Before joining DOSH, he served six years in the Marine Corps Reserves and spent five years working in asbestos abatement.

Originally from Yakima, Washington, Michael moved to the west side of the state as soon as he could—and he’s loved it here ever since.
